  • Vicken Aprahamian

    Vicken comes from the copper and precious metals refining and manufacturing industry. He has over 30 years of experience and has worked for a number of metallurgical facilities in Africa, Europe and North America. He currently holds the position of Senior Process Metallurgist at the Royal Canadian Mint in Ottawa, Canada.

  • Lori Manoukian

    Lori is a PhD Candidate in Materials Engineering at McGill University with a background in geology and environmental geochemistry. She has an interest in the environmental effects of mining on water quality.

  • Sevan Bedrossian

    Sevan is a senior metallurgist with experience in mineral processing and hydrometallurgy. His experiences include project management, process design, process engineering, process modelling, process control, cost estimation, process commissioning, field surveys and research & development.

  • Terrence (Srab) Ortslan

    Srab has a degree in mining engineering and an MBA. He has been a mining analyst for financial markets with over 20 years of experience and is an adjunct professor at McGill University. He consults for mine development, projects, finance, corporate assessment and valuations, government and corporate resource policy and strategy, metal market and geopolitical research and strategy.

  • Armen Hovannissyan

    Armen is a mining engineer, Doctor of Technical Sciences and a professor. His main area of scientific research covers the selection and improvement of technologies for the extraction of solid minerals, creation of new ones, as well as the optimization of technical, technological and organizational engineering solutions. He has over 20 years of experience in planning the industrial assessment and exploitation of solid mineral deposits. He currently holds the position of the Director of the "Mining and Metallurgy and Chemical Technologies" Institute in the National Polytechnic University of Armenia.

  • Alen Amirkhanian

    Alen Amirkhanian is the Director of the American University of Armenia’s (AUA) Acopian Center for the Environment, a position he has held since 2013. In 2014, he established AUA Center for Responsible Mining and is acting as its Interim Director. He teaches graduate and undergraduate environmental courses at AUA. Prior to AUA, he was Senior Vice President of Research at Michael Porter’s Initiative for a Competitive Inner City. He has consulted with the World Bank, UNDP, and the Brookings Institution on energy efficiency as well as economic and urban-growth issues. His current academic interests include urban environmental sustainability, “greening” the built environment, and circular economy esp. as it relates to “greening” cities. Alen holds a Masters in City Planning (’97) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning.

  • Anna Saghabalyan

    Anna Saghabalyan holds advisory and consulting roles on communications and ESG in private and public sectors. Mrs. Saghabalyan has 20 years of experience in the area of public relations and stakeholder management. She has served as Director of Communications at "Lydian Armenia". Prior to that she has worked as the Director of Communications in a leading NGO in Armenia the Civilitas Foundation. Earlier, she has been a senior correspondent on foreign policy and economy for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

    She holds an MSc degree in Corporate Communications from Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) and various certificates on Corporate Social Responsibility, Management and Finance from RSM and London Business School.
